Stone Key Ruins and Vaultus puzzle for free members

The next try for a puzzle thread.

Because of what I experienced here, I think this thread will delete itself after 1 month of idle-time. So don't be surprised if that happens.

To the topic:

When entering the Stone Key Ruins you can click 9 stars, 5 left of the pillar and 4 right of the pillar, to activate the gate to Vaultus.
It's unknown that other areas can be accessed from the Stone Key Ruins.
You can click the stars at day and night, but at night it's easy to click them, because they shine brighter than the other ones.

Outside:
When you enter the area in front of the Vaultus-Tower you can see a spaceship starting/ landing at the right behind the tower.

Floor 1:
Here you can read messages from Crowchild on a PDA.
Clicking on the middle of the tabel activates Vaultus.
After that you can either go upstairs to floor 2 or you can press the "e" button on your keyboard to activate the elevator. If you click on the area behind the table you are send down to the sublevels.

Floor 2:
Here you can activate 5 lights by clicking on them. With the 5 lights activated you can klick on the bright shining status field beyond the lights. This activates a HUD-screen. Choose a CPU and unlock the tower: "Tower" -> "On". Then you can go upstais to Floor 3.

Floor 3:
With CPU2 activated you get a map that can teleport you to Crow's Nest or the Stone Key Ruins.
With CPU3 activated you get a HUD-screen titled Nimbus Codex. The screen shows a part of the old puzzle of HTH 1.5

If you know someshing new that hasn't been posted in this thread yet and that is accessible for free members, please post it here.

IIR, that was only for gold members.

If it is for gold members it's maybe a bug.
I'm free member and still get the Nimbus Codex map with CPU3 activated

That access available to everyone. It is not a bug.

There was something, if I recall, that only appeared to gold membership. Thought that was it. Maybe it was something else then.

This was posted in another thread in the Secrets/Easter Eggs section, but I figured I'd repost it here. If you go to the Library on the main island, and scroll left while outside, you can find a small pink gemstone resting atop one of the lamps. Not sure what it does, but it seems more than likely that it's tied to this puzzle

I tried to figure out if the bead has some effect on Vaultus, but I'm not sure if I use it correct. Do I use the bead just through possession, or do I have to place it somewhere?

Was the bead found on the gold island beach? We a_ssume it goes with one of the gold island puzzles.

No, it's the bead that can be found at the library. So it should go with a free-zone puzzle.

This Bead has been added recently in the last Library update, Therefore I don't think is related to the first main puzzle, it must be for another puzzle that was added without us knowing, part of unfinished puzzle that we were not notified of or just a complement of an old Puzzles.

I am a bit hesitant to agree with you there Wolf1307, while we do find the pink and purple bead at The Library, the only effect I have yet scene the bead have is at the Stone Circle Ruins leading me to believe it is part of a gold puzzle.

I have one problem with it (probably I'm thinking to much): If the bead is gold related, why can free members pick it up? All other gold content is blocked for free members. Maybe the bead has more than one function. That should be investigated.

I admit I am also confused to why free players can get the pink and purple bead at The Library, you may be right that it has more then one function. My testing with the bead shows that it lights up a symbol on the Stone Circle Ruins gate similar to the gold and green bead, but it cannot be used to access anywhere yet. I believe we need to find a pink and purple "key" to unlock a new area, I *** it will also be found on the Sapphire Islands.

Could someone post a screenshot of the 9 stars for the stone key ruins? I can find 8 of them but not the 9th one. I'd appreciate it.

EDIT: Nevermind I found it

Maybe if you find all the beads, you can form them into an anal bead that can be used to unlock something tight?

Ok, here is what I've found thus far...

1) go to ruins

2) click the stars

3) enter portal

4) go inside vaultus

5) click the spire looking thing on the pedestal in the middle of the room (room lights up blue)

6) look up and click the top of the ladder

7) look up again (but not too high) and click the light bars (electricity will arc and the bars will light up) this will cause a status bar to the right to light up.

8 ) once the status bar is lit it will read: Vaultus core. Click the top section of the status bar.

9) a screen will appear. Choose a CPU 1,2, or 3. (1 will be blank, 2 will be a map with a node that will bring you back to the start of the puzzle EDIT: THERE IS ALSO A NODE FOR THE CROWS NEST, THOUGH IT SEEMS TO BE THE SAME INSTANCE THAT IS AVAILABLE FROM THE MAIN MAP, 3 will be a password). Once you select a CPU click the word tower on the left on the screen. Click ON. The ladder will descend.

10) Check out the top floor.

11) go back down to the main floor and hit E on your keyboard (the room will change from blue light to orange).

12) click the side of the scene (click the banister to the left or right)

13) you will descend into the sub lvl

14) once below hit E again to send the elevator back up. a puzzle will appear.

15) enter the password by click the up arrows on the tumblers (btw the code is 85 27 13 [E1B2, a throwback to HTH classic... weird])

16) click the red dot in the center of the puzzle and a portal will open to...

17) enjoy HTH classic


First edit made in response to The Viewer (good catch).

That's a pretty good recap, but not the end of everything to do in Vaultus. Only other lead I can think of that we have is if that the map started by CPU2 has links to Crow's Nest and Nova Beach, which according to the debugger, is still within Vaultus

Hmm. Can't remember if that was a Gold thing or not.

I am a gold member currently and i clear my cache, cookies, and temporary internet files very regularly... would you suggest a help desk ticket?

Helpdesk has been gone for some time. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. Tyvara has said that there is still more to do there and elsewhere around the island, that just happened to be the only other thing I remember, aside from clues hidden within Crow's PDA that is.

The link to Nova Beach was at the map from 2013 in the actual version the link seems to be gone.
The HTH classic game should be gold content. I can't access it as free member.

Also the screen was able to switch between the gold and free map. The player could pause the screen by clicking on the "Tower" (an area on the map,) button whenever the screen switches to the free map.
No more pauseing the map, and no nova beach. maybe it was never part of the puzzle.

At The Crow's Nest is now a direct link to Vaultus. You can still enter Vaultus through The Stone Key Ruins if you like.
