Halloween Puzzle.

I was reading the Tumblr when I noticed this reply by Tyvara in regards to the free event last Halloween: "Also the Free Event last Halloween was part of a puzzle that people neglected to attempt. People were so busy with Rose’s scene or commenting on the lack of Free Rose content that it never got solved or at least not something anyone announced publicly."

  So we missed another puzzle, one I don't think most even knew existed this time. Maybe if Crow does another Halloween event this year, we can give some puzzle hunting a try.

I can say I was not caring much about Rose, and to be honest I Thought that Portal there for everyone a little strange and Thought there could be something with the stone key and Vaultus, I searched around but eventually found nothing and since there was no announcement of Anything, I just thought there was really nothing and gave up!!

I don't blame any of you tbh, I've stopped caring about the puzzles myself. This is a beta. in my mind, there still needs testing to be do, there never is anything perfect in a beta, and working puzzles is not far from that. I'm not going to rant, and rant on about it, but I'm sure there are many others in the same boat but with different thoughts.

eeeeeexcept for the many many times we have said "Yes, the puzzles are indeed working, they're just difficult" and the fact that you do care somewhat because you still reply to every single post on the topic.

Noticed another reply by Tyvara about the Halloween event: "The Free Event was also a puzzle that people missed. The puzzle will still be available this year and with some additions that should make it more obvious that there is a puzzle."

  So we have a second shot at this puzzle, anyone up for some puzzle hunting come Halloween?

There is no need to be an elitist snob. *You* guys say it works. Doesn't mean it actualy does, and Fuzz is entitled to his opinions, so stop using your backwards logic by saying anybody cares.

I found a useful piece information pertaining to the puzzle, again from a Tumblr response by Tyvara: "(clues pertaining to this puzzle were posted in the announcement as well as in Rose’s dialogue)". So I think this gives us a nice starting point once the event begins, but what do you guys think?

The text from the 2013 halloween event announcement reads as follows:

GOLD MEMBERS: We've had some interesting reports at The Tower. Just wait outside the tower and see what appears! If you're brave, or just downright curios, you can follow Rose on whatever she has planned for the evening. And if you play nice, she'll let you leave afterwards.

Rose's 3rd person reverse cowgirl scene will still be available after Halloween, but at her Gold Zone location. The Tower event is only for Halloween and the day after. ***

***SPECIAL EXPANSION*** Due to some bugs during the first day, we're going to extend the event through the weekend!

The only likely clue I can see is "wait outside the tower and see what appears!" I seem to remember that as you wait outside, rose and/or a portal behind her appears, but maybe if you wait longer more will appear?

I also notice "curious" is misspelled as "curios" in the first paragraph. Probably a typo, but it could refer to plural "curio" where a curio is "something (as a decorative object) considered novel, rare, or bizarre". Maybe there are two curios to click? It's a longshot.

I noticed when you enter the lobby level of The Tower you get this static effect during the loading screen, I'm not sure if this is part of the Halloween puzzle, or just some spooky flavoring for the event though.

The picture "Red Rose" from Crowchild has a rose emblem in the lower left corner. The same emblem is on a book in the library.

I think the halloween puzzle started. You can speak to Rose at the Tower-Lobby and the apperance of The Tower changed to someting similar as the picture on page 2 of the book with the rose emblem.

quite difficult to figure out the narraitt lettres in the "rose book" because of the fact that the pages are presented a little bit leaning.

We have been working on translating it over in the Onyxgate: Tower thread, we have so far fully translated the second and third page, and partly translated the first page.

Sorry, saw the other topic just one minute after my post in this topic.

I beleive the first line on the first page of the book says "On your Tower" but i could be wrong. And the second line could be "one Queen" it's hard to read the second line

Just made a discovery. If you go back and read the book with the rose emblem after getting the number pad at the crow's nest, one of the pages of the book will spawn a red orb that goes into your inventory.

okay i find the book what do it tell us to do for us to get some rose ?

Then go to the tower exterior with the orb in inventory. It opens a portal. The portal takes you to Rose's private room.

It would be on the left-end of the central table, if you don't see it you may have collected it already since it didn't show up in my inventory after I picked it up.

Now that we have reached Rose's private room, I think we can agree we completed the Halloween/Onyxgate puzzle?

I think you already have it, after I saw the pad for the first time it disappeared from the area, nor did it appear in my inventory, but I must have picked it up since I was able to get the red bead. I know this has happened to at-least one other player as well, so I think it might be a bug.

Except I never saw anything there to begin with and there's nothing no matter how many times I go to the book in the library either. It's bugged as hell >.>
